What is Pipe Relining?
Pipe relining is a specialised method of repairing damaged sewer and stormwater pipes from the inside, eliminating the need to excavate your property. It’s an ideal solution when drainage pipes are damaged in locations where excavation would be costly, difficult or highly disruptive, such as beneath homes, building footings, stencilled driveways, retaining walls or established landscaping.
Rather than removing and replacing the damaged pipe, a specialised resin liner, often referred to as a pipe patch, is installed inside the existing pipe. Once cured, it forms a strong new pipe within the original pipe, sealing cracks, restoring structural integrity and preventing further tree root intrusion. The result is a durable, long-lasting repair with minimal disruption to your property.
We’re proud to offer professional pipe relining services throughout Brisbane, South Brisbane, Logan and the Redlands.
How Pipe Relining Works
We begin by inspecting your drain using a CCTV drain camera and locator to identify the exact location, cause and extent of the damage, allowing us to determine whether pipe relining is the right solution and provide an upfront quotation before any work begins.
Next, we thoroughly clean the pipe using high-pressure hydro-jetting equipment, removing tree roots, grease, debris and any loose material so the resin liner bonds securely to the existing pipe.
The damaged section of pipe is carefully measured and a custom resin liner is prepared specifically for your repair. Once the epoxy resin is mixed, there’s a limited working time before it begins to cure, so our technicians work quickly and with complete focus through this stage.
Using specialist installation equipment, the resin-saturated liner is positioned inside the damaged section of pipe, then inflated using controlled air pressure so it moulds tightly against the existing pipe walls.
The resin is left to cure, creating a strong, seamless pipe within the original pipe. Once fully cured, the relined section is structurally restored, resistant to tree root intrusion and backed by our 25-year warranty.
Before returning your drain to service, we complete a final CCTV inspection to confirm the repair has been installed correctly and meets our high standards.
Is Pipe Relining the Correct Solution for My Property?
Not every damaged drain is suited to pipe relining, which is why we always begin with a thorough CCTV drain inspection. Our experienced drainage technicians will assess the condition of your pipework and recommend the most practical, durable and cost-effective solution for your property.
In some situations, pipe relining is the most economical option because it avoids the significant cost and disruption of excavation. In others, we may recommend an excavated repair, or present both options so you can make an informed decision.
- Tree root intrusion
- Cracked or damaged earthenware pipes
- Pipes beneath stencilled or decorative driveways
- Pipes beneath landscaped gardens and retaining walls
- Pipes beneath pools and water features
- Pipes beneath buildings and concrete footings
If, after inspecting your drainage system, we determine that pipe relining isn’t the right solution, we’ll explain why and recommend an alternative repair method. Our priority is always providing the best long-term outcome for your property.

Need a Pipe Relining Specialist?
Not sure whether relining is the right repair for your property? That’s exactly what the CCTV inspection is for. Our drainage specialists will show you the condition of your pipes on camera, explain what they’re seeing and quote the work upfront before anything begins. If relining suits, most repairs are finished within half a day and backed by a 25-year warranty. If it doesn’t, we’ll tell you, and recommend the repair we’d use instead.
Relining suits most sewer and stormwater pipes that have kept their general shape, and we carry equipment for 100mm and 150mm lines, the sizes found in most homes, units and commercial properties. Repairs are made with one-metre liners that can be combined to cover longer runs, so a single cracked section and a badly deteriorated length are both worth assessing rather than assuming excavation.
Once the resin has cured we run a final CCTV inspection before the drain goes back into service, and we return for complimentary annual inspections afterwards so tree roots cannot quietly undo the work. The relined section itself carries a 25-year warranty.

frequently asked questions
How long does pipe relining last?
Our pipe relining repairs are backed by a 25-year warranty on the relined section of pipe, providing a durable, long-term solution for damaged sewer and stormwater drains.
Can all drains be relined?
Pipe relining is suitable for many sewer and stormwater pipes, provided the existing pipe has retained its general shape and structural integrity. We currently carry specialist equipment to reline 100mm and 150mm diameter pipes, the most common sizes found in residential, strata and commercial properties.
Will tree roots come back?
Tree roots cannot penetrate the relined section of pipe, making pipe relining an excellent long-term solution for root intrusion. However, roots can still enter other damaged sections over time, which is why we provide complimentary annual CCTV inspections following our pipe relining repairs.
How long does pipe relining take?
Most repairs are completed within half a day, generally scheduled early in the morning. Because the epoxy resin is affected by temperature, hot weather can reduce the available working time, and on particularly warm days we may need to begin before 7am to achieve the best result.
Is pipe relining better than replacing the pipe?
It depends on the condition of your drainage system. Pipe relining often provides a durable, cost-effective repair while avoiding the disruption of excavation, while in other cases replacing the damaged pipe may be the better long-term solution. After inspecting your drains with CCTV, we’ll explain the advantages of each option.
Will I need to dig up my driveway?
Repairs are completed using one-metre resin liners, which can be installed individually or combined to repair longer sections of damaged pipe. If a large portion of the drainage system has deteriorated, we’ll discuss whether multiple relining repairs or a complete pipe replacement will provide the most economical long-term solution.
Can you reline stormwater pipes as well as sewer pipes?
It depends on the condition of your drainage system. Pipe relining often provides a durable, cost-effective repair while avoiding the disruption of excavation, while in other cases replacing the damaged pipe may be the better long-term solution. After inspecting your drains with CCTV, we’ll explain the advantages of each option.
How much pipe can be relined?

Pipe relining often provides a durable, cost-effective repair while avoiding the disruption of excavation, while in other cases replacing the damaged pipe may be the better long-term solution.
